SEPULTURA members Andreas Kisser (guitar) and Paulo Xisto Pinto Jr. (bass) were interviewed for the summer 2010 issue of U.K.'s Terrorizer magazine. A couple of excerpts from the chat follow below. On the possibility of a reunion of the band's classic lineup, featuring Max Cavalera on guitar/lead vocals and his brother, Igor Cavalera, on drums: Paulo: "No. There's no reason to have a reunion. The only reason to have a reunion would be the money and that's it. "We have no contact [with Max], no nothing. "In Brazil, there's a saying, 'zero on the left,' which means nothing. For me it's like that — gone. "He [Max] left the band because he wanted to. "'Keep going with your life, leave me alone; I have nothing to do with you anymore. Do your thing, let me do my thing.' And that's it. I don't care. "Whatever he is doing; if he's happy, good. "I am happy with [what the current lineup of SEPULTURA is doing] and that's what I'm sticking to. "We don't want to go and fuck up this lineup." On Max's claim that everyone was into the reunion but that Andreas wanted more money: Andreas: "It's not money. Money could be on the table — as it was — but we have to enjoy ourselves. "Like I say, we are not slaves of our situation; that I have to go there because I was part of something successful ten or fifteen years ago. "I have a lot more fun playing with SEPULTURA today than ever. "We have everything very much organized. We don't have band managers like we used to. We have a much clearer situation of the business. "We took our road, the hard road, but it was a learning road. "Max is a really great riff player. As a singer, he has a voice that is very characteristic. He is very charismatic on stage. "He left [and] we respect that. We took the burden. He took all the good. "Why would he want to come back now? If you are so happy doing the stuff you are doing, be that. "I've heard so much stuff that Max has said over the years, but, as I said, money is not an issue. "The first time they approached us was some ridiculous offer, and me and Paulo had to share ten percent of it all or something stupid like that. "I am not going on stage as a puppet. I am a musician, for life. "If we are going to do this, then we have to do it properly. I am not going to practice one day to do one show, one gig after so long, disrespecting our history, disrespecting our fans, just to be there to fulfill some expecations of management, of booking agents. And they want to talk about money? They don't have to show their faces, we have to."

Fin izbor, steta sto nije dodata i Dirty Window koja je svirana na tom delu turneje. Jos ako puste i na vinilu...

Musica Diablo je iznenadjujuce dobar album i jos jedna potvrda da je Green preterano podcenjen kao pevac za razliku od onog ugojenog hrcka (sto napisa neko glede koncerta). Ja bih ovo na vinilu da imam .

Stig'o da procitam samo intervjue, recenzije samo prelistao i naleteo na "biser" da je Iron Bound - Overkilla bolji album od Horrorscopa. Obicno me takve izjave zabavljaju, ali sam se setio da sam ovaj put potrosio poslednjih 350 dinara i da bas nisam raspolozen da citam takva lupetanja za tu sumu novca. Ipak, nadam se da ovo nije poslednji stampani broj i da ce se naci neki nacin da se nastavi izlazenje stampane verzije.

Brazilian/American thrashers SEPULTURA have inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Records. Commented SEPULTURA guitarist Andreas Kisser: "We are happy to be at Nuclear Blast, especially in the year we are celebrating 25 years of history, and it is a great honor for us to join forces with the most metal label in the world. I am sure this will be a great journey for both of us and we are already working on new material while on the road. "Let's go for another 25 years!" Added Nuclear Blast A&R manager Jaap Wagemaker: "Yes, you got that right! Another great thrash band has joined the Nuclear family! "We have been following the band around Andreas and Derrick [Green, vocals] for quite some time now and every time when we saw them play live, we were equally impressed by the sheer energy that they create on stage! "After inviting the band to come to Donzdorf [Germany; Nuclear Blast's worldwide headquarters] and having some talks with them, we soon found out that we are all on the same page regarding what would be best for the future of SEPULTURA! "After 25 years of forging high-class thrash metal, the band is more alive than ever and we at Nuclear Blast are very happy that together with SEPULTURA we will work on another successful chapter in that history! A new album will be out in 2011 and judging from what we heard from the band, the best is yet to come!"

Teško da je to dokazivo. Oni su se odmah nakon Doningtona vratili na sahranu u Feniks, a onda je Gloria bez konsultovanja ostale trojice otkazala sve koncerte u naredna dva meseca. Kada je malo kasnije Igoru dete zamalo umrlo usled prevremenog porođaja, turneja nije prekidana. Tokom cele Roots turneje, još pre Doningtona, Max se odvajao od benda, izbegavajući komunikaciju, atmosfera je bila loša pa su Paolo i Igor povremeno odlazili u bus u kome su bili roudiji. Glorija je trebalo da bude otpuštena još krajem 1994., ali je Andreas nagovorio Igora da to ne rade, jer puno učinila za bend.

He got a blank look and said, 'I'm afraid so.' Then I started screaming." Heavy-metal legend Ozzy Osbourne, also booked to play the festival, lent the Cavaleras his private jet so they could fly home immediately. Friends and family had already gathered at the house when the aggrieved trio landed. Max Cavalera and Metallica bassist Jason Newsted holed up in Dana's room, making a mix tape for the next day's memorial service. Gloria went to the funeral home to see her son. "I just--I remember Dana in the coffin," she says. "He was covered in plastic. It's very hard. You don't ever plan on making funeral arrangements for your son." Max laže, kao i obično, ne vidim kako misli da se ujedine, a napada ih, nimalo fer, sve vreme, prošli put je izjavio da je zapelo kod para kada je Kisser u pitanju, sada ispada da nije. Neka svako tera svoju stvar, ionako su sve uprskali pre 13 godina i to ponajviše Maxovom glupošću

Altsounds.com: How do you feel about the constant question of whether the classic SEPULTURA lineup is going to reunite? Max: It almost happened last year; I actually called Andreas [Kisser, SEPULTURA guitarist] myself and talked to him about it because I wanna do it, and I said, "We should do it, man. It's the time," and he said, "Let's do it." The next thing I know he has all these crazy demands, involving all these people that work for them and having him be the boss of everything, and I said, "That's not how it's gonna be if it's gonna happen," and he started talking a lot about money and shit like that so I backed off. It's not about the money, it's about the name of the band and showing people what we were about when we were together, so now I'm not so sure. I don't know if it's gonna happen, I'm not worried about it, I think once people hear the new CAVALERA CONSPIRACY album they are going to forget about the reunion, because it's really powerful stuff. Nisam siguran da je bas ovako bilo, no videcemo sta ce Kisser odgovoriti. Novi Soulfly je sranje, videcemo za Cavalera Conspiracy, mada se ne nadam nesto posle onakvog debija.

Imas na Zamundi odavno torrent, a i kod Rusa, dobro je uradjen DVD, meni su oni malo precenjen bend, ali kad se ovako potrude oko izdanja nemam zamerki .

Ajd okači listu video bootlega...

Sepultura dolazi u Evropu u aprilu sa Crowbar kao predgrupom, ali za sada nigde blizu nas ne prolaze. A-Lex reizdanje izlazi u aprilu sa dve do sada neobjavljene stvari, a krajem meseca predgrupisu Metallici na dva stadionska koncerta u Brazilu. Iskopao sam na nekom blogu video snimak Lookaway, Patton peva, Jason na basu, avgust 1998.

Forumi su zabavni zato što možeš pročitati razne stvari... Lars svira slabije od Jasonovog odlaska, njihovi koncerti od 1996. do 2000. su dosta dobro odsvirani, tu jedino James malo slabije peva. Čini se da je on prestao da ozbiljno vežba bubanj, tako da povremeno maši prelaze i šeta u tempu, što meni više smeta. Livemet snimci nisu pravi pokatazelj jer snimci iz mixera po pravilu gube gruv i svirka deluje puno "tanje" nego što jeste realno. Naravno da je on odsvirao AJFA, ovo je jedna od najluđih stvari koje sam pročitao o njima. To je njegov ton, to je njegov udarac, to su prelazi tipični za njega... Tu nije bilo Cliffa koji bi sigurno uticao na drugačiju produkciju. Oni su počeli da snimaju taj album sa Mike Clinkom, koji je pre toga producirao Gunse i oterali su ga posle nedelju-dve i zvali Rasmussene, koji je na tom albumu više bio snimatelj nego producent. Album je mixovan tokom letnje stadionske turneje sa Van Halen i Kirk i Jason nisu ni bili na mixu, već su Lars i James leteli u L.A. kada im je raspored to dozvoljavao. Otuda prepojačana gitara i bubanj. To smo već raspravljali ovde ranije, ako se ne varam. Također i to pljuvanje po Kirku je vrlo aktuelno dosta unazad, ali on je realno na prvih 7 albuma imao i suviše sjajnih solaža i rifova da bi sada o njemu govorili sa omaložavanjem. Eto, meni se uopšte ne dopada šta je Lombardo odsvirao na zadnja dva Slayera, ja tu sem pukog razbacivanja impresivnom tehnikom skoro nigde ne čujem dobre ideje. Isto važi i za Bostapha na Formation of Damnation. Opet Metallica je toliko velika i po popularnosti i po zaradi je nekoliko puta ispred svih thrash metal bendova zajedno, tako da je razumljivo da ih ljudi pljuju i omaložavaju.

Metallica su imali nekih mesec dana vremena tokom aprila-maja 1983. od dolaska Hammetta do ulaska u studio i tokom tog perioda pesme su jos malo ubrzane i doterane.

Niko ne komentariše Orgullo DVD... Na prvih par gledanja meni je bolji od Nimmes-a, življa je montaža, ispresecano je intervjuima i impresijama fanova, a drugi disk mi je još i bolji sa: Holier Than Thou, Cyanide, Helpless, Trapped Under Ice, The Prince, No Remorse, And Justice For All, Dyers Eve... Sad ostaje da čekamo izlazak nekog indoor koncerta, kakvih su ubedljivo najviše i svirali od početka godine i da set lista bude približna onoj sa turneje (znači 6 stvari sa Death Magnetic).

Davida možeš kontaktirati preko njegovog sajta www.davidsubrock.com, a što se snimka konferencije za štampu tiče, teško da će Polzovići to sada hteti da daju, jer cenim da ima određenu vrednost, a ne pojavljuje se na spiskovima većih kolekcionara Metallica bootlega. Nešto se ne sećam da su imali u ponudi pola sata snimka koncerta, moj prijatelj je bio na koncertu i kasnije je uporno tražio bootleg, a pošto je redovno uzimao stvari od Explosiva, uzeo bi i to. Postoji oko sat vremena tv snimaka vezanih sa BG koncert, znam čoveka koji ima, jedino što je to RTS (Marko Stolica i onaj drugi)uradio amaterski ko preko kurca, ali vredi da se ima zbog Jadrankine izjave da je Metallica častila publiku u Beogradu izvođenjem Seek And Destoroy koju navodno retko sviraju od kada je Cliff poginuo. Takve izjave nemaju cenu . Bilo bi zanimljivo doći do Jadranke jer je ona najmanje dva puta intervjuisala bend, (za intervju iz Vremena Zabave iz 1994. je prekrojila konferenciju za štampu kako je njoj odgovaralo), od kojih onaj intervju iz Hard Metala #4 deluje da je najviše preneto šta je Kirk pričao, a da je ona manje dodavala kako joj dođe. Intervju iz Roka 1989 je većim delom mlaćene prazne slame. Moguće da ona čuva audio snimke, ali mi se čini da je ona "old school" poput Polzovica i da nece hteti da ustupi snimke i ako ih ima. Video snimci sa Ronom i Dejvom ne postoje. Najveća nepoznanica je da li postoji ceo snimak iz Čikaga 1983 (odakle su uzete No Remorse i Metal Militia za Cliff Em All), ili samo te dve pesme.

Baš gledam novi DVD i jebiga...ne može od babe devojka. Sporo je izmontiran, ništa posebno produciran, pristojno odsviran, nekoliko bespotrebnih pesama ("Fuel", "Harvester of Sorrow", "Fade To Black" (dobra izvedba inače), "Stone Cold Crazy"...) ali više imam utisak da gledam neki lepo upeglan i sređen tv snimak, a ne oficijalni DVD. A moguće i da sam prezasićen sa livemet snimcima i DVD bootlezima, pa nema nekog uzbuđenja, ni iznenađenja. Sem na torrents.ru imate ga i na zamundi. E, da sviraju "Dyers Eve", barem nešto .

Hvala za linkove sa butlezima, dobar deo sam imao ili je u pitanju audio verzija bootleg DVD-ija, no svaki je dragocen , a par su zaista biseri. Uvek se oduševim kad vidim koliko su često menjali set liste...Ko je zainteresovan za razmenu Sepultura DVD bootlega neka se javi. SEPULTURA's plans for 2010: "The plan is to keep [touring] through next year. We're celebrating 25 years of the group. We have an intention to do a live DVD with our new drummer [Jean Dolabella], maybe an orchestra and stuff, to celebrate this special date. So, let's see. The plans are, really, to keep on the road for the next year." On whether there is any bad blood between the current members of SEPULTURA and their former bandmates, vocalist/guitarist Max Cavalera (currently in SOULFLY and CAVALERA CONSPIRACY) and drummer Igor Cavalera (currently in CAVALERA CONSPIRACY and MIXHELL): "Max [leaving SEPULTURA in 1996] was a pretty heavy departure. He was the singer, we were at the peak of our career, touring [in support of the gold-certified] 'Roots' [album] and everything; it was very difficult to keep everything together. When Igor left [in 2006], it was easier to deal with, with our experience that we had with Max and to rebuild the SEPULTURA career and everything. I mean, his departure was made step by step and he was not very happy touring etc. We [are] still on good terms, of course. Max is very hard to get in touch [with], but Igor lives in Brazil, our families know each other and stuff, and we still have a really cool relationship. But [we live in] different worlds — he's [igor] doing a DJ job [with MIXHELL], using his drums in a different way." On CAVALERA CONSPIRACY (the collaboration between brothers and former SEPULTURA members Max and Igor Cavalera): "I think it's cool. It's great to see the brothers playing again. But, you know, it seems to me that everything [for the debut CAVALERA CONSPIRACY album, 'Inflikted'] was done in a rush. They could spend a little more time enjoying this brother reunion and jam and write something together. I mean, Igor was just the drummer there [on the first CAVALERA CONSPIRACY album]. But I think it's cool. At least they're talking to each other again, which is very positive." On whether he thinks Marc Rizzo (SOULFLY guitarist) is a good fit for CAVALERA CONSPIRACY: "I don't know, man. It could be anyone, because it's something new. Of course, they only do SEPULTURA stuff [when they play live], but... [laughs] I guess they don't have any choice. I think Marc Rizzo is a great player, he's a great guy... I really admire his style. I mean, his flamenco playing, his acoustic stuff, is amazing, and he's a great dude, man. It's great to see that he's jamming with Max for a long time, for awhile. I guess it's just whatever music they wanna do. I guess they [got] along well and it worked out cool."

Frayed Ends nikada nije svirana u celosti, a ta Kirkova izjava lepo zvuči, ali oni su ...And Justice For All svirali svake večeri od izlaska AJFA albuma do kraja 1989.-e, kada je i okončan glavni deo AJFA turneje, a onda su je tokom proletnje evropske turneje 1990.-e izbacili sa set liste, ali je i tada odsvirana jednom ili dva puta. Za "crnu" turneju su već imali "fazon" Justice medley-a, koji su par puta smenili sa Shortest Straw.

Ja sam moj primerak Legije menjao za desetak jazz i blues ploca, album je nenormalno los, Sank Rok, Bas Celik i Metro mi imaju nekog smeka, ovo mi je bilo potpuna katastrofa...danas slucajno kod ortaka iz srednje nasao Paklenu Pomorandzu. Sto se Bloodbatha tice, ta ploca je ocajno rezana slusao sam par razlicitih primeraka i svi preskacu, srecom da je Toxic Death bolje rezan...
