The MELVINS return with a 13-track covers album titled "Everybody Loves Sausages" on April 30 via Ipecac Recordings. "This record will give people a peak into the kind of things that influence us musically," explains Buzz Osborne. "We REALLY like all of these songs along with the bands who actually wrote this stuff because first and foremost we are HUGE music fans." In a decidedly MELVINS approach to a covers album, the band not only selected a unique assortment of songs to cover, ranging from ROXY MUSIC's "In Every Dream Home A Heartache" to QUEEN's "Best Friend", they also enlisted several friends to take part, including MUDHONEY's Mark Arm joining them for THE SCIENTISTS' "Set It On Fire" and NEUROSIS' Scott Kelly pitching in on a cover of VENOM's "Warhead". While the release is billed as a proper MELVINS album (featuring the lineup of Osborne, Dale Crover, Jared Warren and Coady Willis), there are a handful of songs recorded as the MELVINS LITE incarnation of the band (Osborne, Crover and Trevor Dunn): "Female Trouble" (Divine a.k.a. John Waters), "Timothy Leary Lives" (POP-O-PIES) and "Romance By Tales of Terror" (TALES OF TERROR). The complete track listing with original artist and guest player notation: 01. Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz has told Terrorizer he’s in the throws of starting a death metal side project with Cannibal Corpse frontman George Corpsegrinder Fisher and former Black Dahlia Murder drummer Shannon Lucas. He told us: “It’s a death metal side project – no name yet – we’re still getting the songs together. We have about eight tunes as of right now, [it’s] just very old school fast and grindy. We’ve already started talking to Metal Blade and I’m ready to go. I want to get this thing up and running; it’s literally just trying to find time. Killswitch is going to be keeping me busy until September, and George is into doing it, it’s just trying to find time in his busy schedule, it seems they [Cannibal] are always on tour!”

Tool NO NEW SONGS NO NEW ALBUM FOR 2013

With a sad heart we have to announce that another major chapter in the history of Negură Bunget has ended. Long time member Inia Dinia is no longer part of the band. It was her decision alone to leave Negură Bunget in pursuit of other musical and personal paths and we can't but respect her choice. We thank her for everything she put in the band over the years and hope her musical path will only grow further in the future. In related context singer Chakravartin is also no longer member of Negură Bunget. Different personal and musical reasons untangled our paths. We wish his good luck as well on their future endeavors! Even more changes within the band are likely to occur as well in the near future. As things happened a bit unexpected our plans for the immediate future, namely an EP as presentation of the new album, and a Southern European tour in April/May, are hanging in the air for the moment. We will make a decision about everything in the following days. This is definitely a hard moment for what remains of the band, but what does not kill you only makes you stronger. I hope we'll find within ourselves the wisdom to shape the right path for the future of Negură Bunget. Obviously we are now looking for some dedicate musicians to complete the line-up of the band, so if you feel you have what it takes to be part of Negură Bunget, please get in contact with us by [email protected]. The Devil's Blood is no more. As of the 22nd of January 2013 The Devil´s Blood has returned into nothingness. It has been a while since the announcement of our disbanding was made and we feel now is the right time to convey our plans for the legacy that TDB will leave. Our music and artwork will remain available through both our own website and that of Ván Records as well as any other medium that will prove suitable. At the time of the group’s disbanding there were several projects ongoing, each in different evolutionary stages. These were the following: 1. “III: Tabula Rasa or Death and the Seven Pillars” A new, full length album with 7 new songs, for which only demos were made. Originally intended for a winter 2013 release. Artwork by Manuel Tinnemans 2. “66:2” An acoustic EP with one new piece of music and 2 covers. Studio recordings unfinished. Originally intended for a release at Roadburn 2013. Artwork TBA. 3. A live DVD. Not yet edited or mixed. Originally intended for a release somewhere 2013/2014 4. Several live recordings. Not yet edited or mixed. Originally intended for use as live records, B sides and compilation material. It is our desire to make all of this material available as it is right now. These recordings will be mixed and mastered by Pieter G. Kloos at the Void Studios in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Nothing will be altered, re-recorded or added to the music. We are currently working towards realizing this goal and a release date for items 1 and 2 looks to be 30th of April. This is still tentative. For the other items no immediate plans have been made but they will be released when the time is deemed right. Upon the release of the album and EP, SL will be giving a limited amount of interviews in which he will be answering questions regarding the end of the band, the current state and future of the legacy of The Devil’s Blood etcetera. This will be the last time SL will be available for comment on the subject of The Devil’s Blood. After this point he will only focus on his future spiritual and artistic path.
