Asked about the progress of the songwriting sessions for SANCTUARY's "comeback" album — tentatively titled "The Year The Sun Died" — Dane said, "We've got so much stuff written that it's hard to sort through, but we played two new songs today [during the Bloodstock Open Air performance]. We played the one ballad, it's called 'I Am Low', and we played another one called 'The World Is Wired'. Some of the other stuff is a little heavier, but those songs, I think, are… Sometimes the stuff that isn't as heavy is stronger, so that's why we picked those." He added, "I don't think anybody is gonna be disappointed, because I am involved in the creative process and I know what's going on and I know where we're going and I know it's gonna be killer."

The American Band Baroness were on the tour bus which crashed and fell 30ft over a viaduct near Bath. The incident happened at 11.30am at the junction of Brassknocker Hill and the A36, the fire service said. A total of nine people were on the coach. Two were trapped and had to be rescued by firefighters. Seven people have been taken to Royal United Hospital in Bath with what are thought to be relatively minor injuries. The two others have been taken to Frenchay Hospital in Brtistol with more serious injuries. The band played at The Fleece in Bristol last night. U suštini, ovi ljudi su došli do tačke kada su već toliko dobre zanatlije da teško mogu da sklepaju nešto što će biti baš kompletno sranje, više je problem u tome što sve hladnije to rade. Imam nekako utisak da su oni sad u tom tripu " debeli smo, imamo po 35+ godina, debele žene i 15-oro dece pa nam je ovo sad mnogo više posao nego zadovoljstvo". Tako da ono, slušljiv je album, super da ga pustiš dok radiš nešto deseto i da ti ispunjava vazduh jednostavno ali kada se više udubiš nekako hladan utisak ti ostavi. No, i prošli me je tako pukao da mi se sviđa tek posle jedno godinu dana pa će se videti tj. čuti još, zasad mi je taj utisak - fino zanatski ali bez emocija, TGCD mi ostaje vrhunac njihov.

Mislio sam da ćeš od Exodusa izdvojiti "Tempo". I ja volim takvu produkciju u thrashu kao i Tankardov "B-day" i "Beast", Onslaught-ov "Killing Peace", daj da sve zvoni i puca, mani me filozofije i nostalgije.
