Dakle: IRON MAIDEN guitarist Adrian Smith and former SIKTH frontman Mikee Goodman have joined forces in a brand new studio project called PRIMAL ROCK REBELLION. The band's debut album will be released on February 27 via Spinefarm Records. According to a press release, PRIMAL ROCK REBELLION's CD "fuses together two very different approaches to music — Mikee's unique vocal tones and dark-yet-colorful lyrics, and Adrian's instantly recognizable guitar melodies and song writing prowess. Adrian also plays bass throughout the album. All songs were co-written by Adrian and Mikee as individual pieces of work and recorded in creative windows of opportunity." Comments Adrian: "It was interesting doing this album with Mikee, not least because we have quite different influences. I was really pleased with the way it turned out. It has a really fresh feel to it." Adds Mikee: "This album takes you on a really deep and colourful journey, lyrically and musically. Adrian and I were both very open to experimenting with each others' musical styles and influences, which we feel created something new and exciting." Session musicians who also contributed to PRIMAL ROCK REBELLION's debut album include Abi Fry of BAT FOR LASHES and original SIKTH member Dan "Lord" Foord on drums. A PRIMAL ROCK REBELLION track called "I See Lights" can be streamed using the SoundCloud player below. Sweden’s SHINING the, extreme metal band founded by controversial front man Niklas Kvarforth, has today entered the Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden, with producer Andy La Rocque to begin recording the bands eighth full-length album, which, as is usual with SHINING, currently only bears the working title VIII. SHINING has set up a blog which will track the whole recording process, and will feature updates from the band’s manager, who will be present throughout the filming, and contributions from the various members themselves, as well as a “fly on the wall” video diary. Ako je neko mislio da ide: Terry Butler (DEATH, MASSACRE, SIX FEET UNDER, DENIAL FIEND, OBITUARY) and Frederick "Rick Rozz" DeLillo (MANTAS, DEATH, MASSACRE, M INC.) have canceled their previously announced European tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of MASSACRE's classic "From Beyond" album. Dubbed "Army Of Darkness", the trek was slated to take place in January/February 2012 and was supposed to feature additional performances from MACABRE and MASTER. Commented MASSACRE lawyer Eric Greif: "The band was looking forward to the trip but got spooked when no contracts or deposits materialized, despite repeated requests to the agent. They'll instead head over later for some summer festivals that don't conflict with Terry's OBITUARY commitments." Added Butler: "Writing and playing again with Rick has been a lot of fun and it will be great to get back to Europe playing these songs."

"King Me" je pizdarija, ubedljivo nešto najepskije što su ikad uradili. "Straight For The Sun" prestrašna, ubica od pesme. Meni je vrh album, sve bolji sa svakim slušanjem, kao i svi LoG albumi uostalom, možda bi bio ubitačniji jedino kad bi bio nešto kraći, ovako baš treba biti u elementu da ga obrneš celog.
