We get a lot of mail from people who want to know when the new album will be out. Unfortunately, this will not happen this year. We're still writing and recording, and trying not to finish things in a hurry. For sure the album will be out in 2012! Maybe we will release another free download, like we did with 'Heroes For Ghost'. You can also enjoy the magnificent video Marcus Moonen made [see below]. We will keep you informed.

Three members of the legendary Swedish death metal band GRAVE have joined forces with Florida-based guitarist Ralph Santolla (OBITUARY, DEICIDE) in a brand new group called REDSCREAM. The project is currently writing material in Stockholm while seeking a lead singer to complete the band's lineup. Regarding how REDSCREAM came together and its future plans, the group tells BLABBERMOUTH.NET, "In April, OBITUARY, GRAVE, and PATHOLOGY toured Europe together on the 'Metal Chainsaw Massacre' tour. Everyone involved agreed that it was one of the best, most fun tours we had ever done, and the chemistry on the bus was really good. The 'Late Night Party Crew' (Trevor Peres, Ronnie Bergerstål, Oscar Ramirez, Tobbe Cristiansson, Ralph Santolla, Ola Lindgren, and Tim Tzsieconanovichski) also found we all loved the same classic rock, classic metal, and Southern rock. After many nights of cranking THIN LIZZY, RIOT and DEEP PURPLE, the guys in GRAVE and Ralphy decided to form a band and call it REDSCREAM (cheap wine). Well, now Ralph has been in Stockholm for a month and we've been writing like crazy. Today we actually finished our fourth song. "It's hard to describe a sound, but every day before practice we listen to hours of IMMORTAL, DEF LEPPARD, DIMMU BORGIR, KATY PERRY, SCORPIONS, KISS, RAINBOW and TRIPTYKON. Strange but true! "We have another week of work, then a break for the GRAVE U.S. tour, then we will spend the whole month of October writing and meeting with prospective singers." As announced last June, ESOTERIC are back! The British doomsters' forthcoming album is entitled "Paragon of Dissonance" and has been described by vocalist Greg Chandler as a "varied and diverse mix of emotions and soundscapes"... This sixth full-length will be released mid-November and will be a 2-disc set, like most of ESOTERIC's previous albums.

"Hell Over Sofia - 20 Years Of Chaos And Confusion", the new DVD from Swedish extreme metallers HYPOCRISY, will be released on October 14 via Nuclear Blast. The disc will contain footage of the band's February 27, 2010 concert at the Blue Box club in Sofia, Bulgaria. Guitarist Mikael Hedlund states, "It was a show that had everything! The crowd was helping us doing one of our best shows ever in our history and it was recorded with several cameras. The DVD will also contain a one-and-a-half-hour documentary that will show you our 20 years of chaos and confusion." He adds, "We would like to give our fans the true story of the past and give them all the details what have happened on our journey over all these years. As far as the progress of the recording sessions for the next WARDRUNA LP goes, Kvitrafn states: "The recurring question of when the next album will be finished is not easy to answer. I am well underway with the recordings and there is good progress in the work. Having said that, I must add that because of the demanding concepts behind these albums, I cannot rush this process. I hope to be finished with the recordings next summer, but I can obviously not give any promises now. The only thing that matters now is to make music that I am satisfied with, no matter how long it will take."
