Norwegian melodic black metal masters OLD MAN'S CHILD will release a new studio album in early 2009 via Century Media Records. The band, which is led by guitarist/vocalist Galder (also in DIMMU BORGIR), has just returned from a trip to Gothenburg, Sweden, where it spent several weeks laying down the new unholy compositions at Studio Fredman with producer Fredrik Nordström (DIMMU BORGIR, ARCH ENEMY, IN FLAMES, etc.), who had previously worked with the band on the "In Defiance Of Existence" (2003) and "Vermin" (2005) albums. The new OLD MAN'S CHILD album's title has not yet been revealed, but the nine-song CD will feature Peter Wildoer (DARKANE, PESTILENCE) on drums. Commented Peter: "After having being asked to be part of the new OMC album, I obviously went back and listened to the previous releases of the band, so I now am able to say that in my opinion, these new nine songs are the best material I have heard of the band so far. There is a lot of more variety going on and the album will sound bigger than any other OMC record before. As far as my performance goes, this is probably the best drumming I have ever recorded so far. I am extremely happy and proud of the session and there's a lot more double bass and blast beats on here than you have normally heard me doing, so look out for this great record!" OLD MAN'S CHILD's last album, "Vermin", was released in October 2005 via Century Media Records. The follow-up to 2003's "In Defiance of Existence" was recorded at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden and features a guest appearance by TESTAMENT/DRAGONLORD guitarist Eric Peterson. Artwork was handled by Set<'H>.

Novi album je stvarno dobar. Vidi se da je zreo bend, produkcija je na nivou i pesme su dosta dobre. Svidja mi se i ta kombinacija pesama na srpskom i engleskom. Stvarno odlican album koji treba imati. Mislim da su ovim albumom samo potvrdili da su najbolji domaci bm bend. Svaka cast

Nije ovo ta turneja. Ovo je nastavak turneje od ove godine, pa onda idu na prolece u Ameriku pa onda tek krece ta turneja sa celim Nostradamusom a bice i DVD sa te turneje.

Norwegian black metallers SATYRICON have just completed the video shoot for their new single, "Black Crow On A Tombstone". The song, which was released digitally on October 20, is available for streaming at this location. The single is the first track to be released from the band's upcoming album "The Age Of Nero", which hits stores in Europe on November 3 via Roadrunner Records. The Pentagram Burns When asked about the involvement of producer Joe Barresi (TOOL, QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE) in SATYRICON's new CD, Satyr recently told Norway's VG newspaper, "Joe has been a technician on practically the whole project. There might have been some misunderstandings in the Norwegian media about his role — it is me who is the producer; Joe's role is to know which buttons to push to create the sound that I want." Speaking about the first time he played the new album for Roadrunner, Satyr said, "I had nothing to say to them. I just played the album loud, and thought that if they they don't like it, it's their problem. I am so sure about what we have done this time that I don't think about changing a single thing. The door is closed, and we are so much on the right path, that we are not turning eother left or right on this. But they thought it was really good." A European headlining tour will kick off on November 12 in Stavanger, Norway and ending in Hamburg, Germany on December 20. Opening all shows will be up-and-coming UK thrashers EVILE. SATYRICON will support CRADLE OF FILTH on a North American tour in January/February. As previously reported, SATYRICON has recruited two new members for its live shows. The rhythm guitar is now handled by French axeman Gildas Le Pape, who has been playing black and thrash metal, as well as jazz, for quite a few years. The band's new touring bassist is Victor Brandt (Sweden) from the death metal band DOMINION and TOTALT JÄVLA MÖRKER. Victor Brandt can also be heard on the new SATYRICON EP "My Skin Is Cold".

Swiss metallers SAMAEL will embark on a tour of the Balkans in February 2009 — approximately two weeks after the completion of their "Winterfest 2009" trek with DEICIDE, VADER, ZONARIA and DEVIAN. The tour will include stops in such countries as Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia and Austria. A possibility exists that the tour will be extended to include shows in Spain and Portugal, but this has not ye been confirmed.
