Izgleda da se stara tema negde zagubila. Nema veze. U svakom slucaju, predivan glas, pravi divnu muziku inspirisanu keltskom tradicijom, ali i mnogim drugim tradicijama. Inace, u novembru ce izdati bozicni album, A Midwinternight's Dream, gde ce se pored vec izdatih 5 pesama sa izdanja A Winter Garden naci i 8 novih pesama. Jedva cekam!!!!

-
Tarja nije operska, ona je klasicna lid pevacica.

My review 1) God Save The Keg - a funny title, but also a lovely instrumental, full of symphonic atmosphere and solemnity. Then you can hear some crazy organ melody, and a deep male choir, slowly setting the right mood for 2) Locked Within The Crystall Ball - the best song on the album, and one of the best BN songs ever, in my opinion. It is pretty dark-edged, with very catchy melodies, and a quite unusual arrangement for this band. Perfect combination of Candice's belting, Ritchie's electric guitars and medieval instruments. 3) Gilded Cage - acoustic song, somehow makes me think of the forest in the night. There are even some Latino reminiscenes during Ritchie's solo. 4) Toast To Tomorrow - Great Russian song that was turned into yet another familiar Blackmore's Night "tavern" anthem. I am sure this song will kick ass live! 5) Prince Waldeck's Galliard - a soothing instrumental. Ritchie alone with his mandolin. What more does this man need to make beautiful music? This song proves he needs nothing more. 6) Rainbow Eyes - certainly THE flop of the album. I don't know why are they keeping covering Rainbow's songs over and over. And this version is definitely the worst one. Rather boring, with some strange sound effects in the background, and totally lacks the emotion of the original. I think I'm gonna skip this song in the future. 7) The Circle - Wow, an amazing and a very complex piece! Contains some rennaissance, some oriental (even Candice vocalises a little in Arabic way!) and dome rock influences. Not to mention that the choir in the end sounds really powerful. 8) Sister Gypsy - a typical BN ballad, with strings, violin, Candice's beautiful voice and lyrics. 9) Can't Help Falling In Love With You - Awesome cover of Elvis's hit song! The atmosphere totally reminds me of BN songs All Because Of You and I'll be There. Fast rock riffs, happy rhythm, and a simple yet true love theme. Not to mention that I love how Candice belts out in this one. 10) Peasant's Promise - acoustic intro, followed by beautiful medieval melodies on various whistles. Candice sings very passionately and tenderly in this song. 11) Far Away - the beginning of the song is a little bit tedious, but ck in, and Candice in the background singing "pa pa pa". The song gets quite symphonic and romantic towards the end. 12) Empty Words - a recapitulation of the intro tune, but now without orchestra bombast, and with Candice's voice. An OK son, but I feel something's missing there. Not really up to BN standards, for sure! Anyway, BN did it again! They made a wonderful album, full of master-pieces. Even though they stay true to their minstrel-rock style, they still evolve with time, and on Secret Voyage they keep getting heavier than before, and also their arrangements become more and more interesting. And of course, the most positive surprise to me was how much Candice has improved her singing (not that she had been bad before!). Now every single note she sings contains so much strength, passion, emotion, wonderful..... Even though this album does have some songs which just aren't as good as BN songs should be, the rest of the album makes up for them, and those master-pieces will certainly join the (already quite vast) library of BN signature tunes. Cheers!

Elem, moji utisci: So, the time finally came for me to see one of my favourite bands for the 3rd time, and for the 1st time with Anette as the leading singer. It happened in Novi Sad, on the opening day of EXIT 08 festival, on 10th July 2008, somewhen between 21:18h and 22:30h. I was somewhere in the 10th row, just in front of Anette's microphone. It was far enough so that I don't get killed by the mob, yet still close enough that I can see even the face gestures of the band members, even though I am shortsighted and was wearing no glasses. The whole audience area was very crowded, I assume there were maybe even 25,000 people seeing this show. After the bombastic intro, the band kicked in with energetic Bye Bye Beautiful, and the crowd went wild immediately. I must say that the sound was a bit bad during this song (Anette's mic was too silent), but later on they fixed it, so I could hear them perfectly. Then they played Dark Chest Of Wonders, and I must say, it sounds much better than on some recent youtube videos. Whoever Brings The Night is to me one of the worst NW songs ever, so I won't even comment on it. And then, The Siren.....totally different approach to the song than Tarja, but still, Anette rocked in it. And I was really pissed seeing some jerk in front of me covering his ears because, oh, dear God, he's so musically profound that Anette's singing hurts his ears. What a dickhead! Why did he wade then all the way to the front rows?! Anyway, let him be..... Amaranth followed, and then two old songs, Sleeping Sun and Ever Dream. I must say, those two were some of the most emotional moments of the show. I could really feel how the audience was moved. I myself was, almost to the tears especially with her chorus of Ever Dream! You cannot miss with this master-piece. And suddenly, all the band except Tuomas left the stage. I didn't have a clue what was going to happen, but then I heard the Poet And the Pendulum intro. And what can I say? I had thought that this song was inappropriate for a festival setlist, but I was so wrong! It is such a powerful song live, that I have no words! The pyros were exceptional as well. I especially loved the fire crosses, and I also caught a piece of these purple stripes they threw during the "Save me!" culmination. Oh, and Mother and Father.......man, I felt shivers all through my body. At the end of it, I looked at the video projector behind me, and saw that Anette was crying when she sang this. I am in awe. Sahara was wonderful as well. but then they played their probably biggest hit to date. Nemo. I prefer so much this song now with Anette on vocals. She really gives to it something special with her interpretation. And, as the band announced the last song for the evening, I knew it would be Wish I Had An Angel. A good chance for some final moshing in the crowd. I got scared at that moment for one small girl which was on her daddy's shoulders in front of me. We all hoped that there would be some encore, one song at least, but unfortunately, they had to go off stage because bloody N.E.R.D. was supposed to play right after them. Man, from now on I hate N.E.R.D.!!!! I know I stood in front of the stage for another 10 minutes, still not believing they were gone, and what fantastic performance they gave to Serbia. All in all, it was really worth seeing NW for the first time in Serbia. To me, this concert was excellent, by all means. So the audience was. It could really be seen on their faces while taking the final bows how much surprised they were, in a positive way of course, by the reception they got. All the members were really moved, and they seemed to be really happy on stage. I really have faith now in NW that they are gonna last for a long time in this line-up. They still get to deliver amazing, heartfelt performances, and tumble emotions in fans' hearts. I must say a word about the pyrotechnics, which were so great (and veeery hot!)! God, I felt like I was burning every time they fired those things, even though I was in the 10th row or so. I can imagine how it was to those people in the first row! Anette was really, really good. Again, she has got a very different vocal style than Tarja, so it is useless to compare them. OK, she really does seem to have a couple of notes lower register, so that even in some DPP songs she lowers the intonation (in Mother and Father, and in Amaranth), and I don't really like that, but still, she sings with so much emotion, andhas become a good frontwoman, after only one year of performing with Nightwish. The only real flaw of the gig was its short length (only about 70 minutes), but it was due to festival schedule. Also, they could have played more old songs, but I hope they will do it on their next concert in Serbia. And I do believe them when they said we will meet again in our country! The setlist: 1. Bye bye beautiful 2. Dark chest of wonders 3. Whoever brings the night 4. Siren 5. Amaranth 6. Sleeping Sun 7. Ever dream 8. Poet and the pendulum 9. Sahara 10. Nemo 11. Wish I had an angel

U The Circle cak ima malo i orijentalnog pevanja.
-
-
Joj, jos 11 dana, jedva cekam!!!!!!!!!!! Jos ako budu svirali While your lips are still red!!!!!!
-
Meni radi normalno.
