On nije Dio niti je ikada bio hehe, niti je DT Rainbow ali ovo uopste daleko od loseg! jedina mozda zamerka je na sto mi bolje zvuci Cozy Powell od Portnoya... Erotomaniac Posted May 18, 2009 Report post Posted May 18, 2009 Konacno, odslusah album. Prvi utisak? hmm, cini mi se kao da ga nemam. Wither.... za prvo slusanje, nista posebno. The Shattered Fortres, ne znam sta bih mogao da kazem konkretno, i ako to predstavlja nastavak, jedne velike pesme koja se razvukla vec na par albuma, cini mi se da i pored toga zvuci MNOGO reciklirano. Ne smeta mi da se ponove bitni i prepoznatljivi delovi iz predhodnih delova AA sage, ali kao i sve njihove novije stvari, zvuci veoma isiljeno, nema spontanosti i suptilnosti u prelazima izmedju tih svih melodija i delova jednostavno imam utisak da su tu samo da bi bile tu, i da bi pesma dostigla tih 13 min.... stvarno nema neke ideje, zavrsava se pateticno, al aj kao zatvorili su krug s uvodom iz Glass prisona, opet da kazem nikakav utisak. The Best of times, ok pocela, ali opet na kraju nista i dalje blenem jednu tacku bez nekih osecnja... Bolja mu je bila pesma za majku definitivno, slozice se svako The count of Tuscany, zalici mi na STARI DT i za sada mi je najbolja sa albuma, ali na kraju ostavi me pesma ravnodusnog vrlo, ocekivao sam vise posle one pauze ko sto vec neko rece ovde! Sam kraj albuma nista upecatljivo... Ne znam, ovo jeste komentar na prvo slusanje i ne znaci da se nesto nece promeniti ipak treba sve da se slegne, ali kad se setim PRVO slusanje Images & Words-a me je oduvalo! jebes vise albume koje moras toliko da slusas da ti se na kraju od muke dopadnu Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Grobodan Posted May 18, 2009 Report post Posted May 18, 2009 Hm, moj problem je izgleda sto svaki put kad slusam novi Dream ocekujem senzaciju (a tu naviku sam odavno trebao da izbrisem) pa mi zato na prvu i nije legao. Posle par slusanja utisak je kudikamo bolji, ovo nije prog ravaljivanje svega kao nekad ali jebes ga, slusljivo je, samo da ga nisu usrali gadnim momentima. Албум ми је, са изузетком A Rite Of Passage и тужњикавих момената на The Best of Times, досадан ко и претходни. The Shattered Fortres је потпуно непотребна. Ово остало не држи пажњу никако, издрндавање без суштине. Краће песме са мање егзибиција су им боље (рецимо, са прошлог Forsaken је супер), јер у овим дужим, где се свако од њих труди да покаже нов дијапазон мајсторија, песма изгуби концепцију и душу. He is trying to growl now. If this song was on SFAM, it would easily be the worst song on the album. A Rite of Passage - lyrics make me vomit in my mouth main riff sounds like the riff from "Home" only with a case of burning chlamydia Oh man, an anthrax riff, really? boring solos over metallica riffs Turn the key walk through the gate The great ascent to reach a higher state A rite of passage = next one is a ballad! lyrics continue being painful. Song sounds like the combination of a Phil Collins verse and a Firehouse chorus. In other words, easily the best song on the album so far. solo was short and sweet, on some Vito Bratta shit, well done! The Best of Times - ok, this kinda sounds like Rush not bad. Similar half-incestual lyrical theme as Red barchetta. couldn't have picked a more generic chord progression for the solo, this is prog though right? don't hate this song, but I don't really like it either. At least it's better than 45 year old prog dorks playing trivium quality thrash riffs. haha portnoy is growling again, this is hilarious and pathetic rolled into one. darth vader is reciting poetry now. more nondescript metal riffing. the last two minutes of shattered fortress are kind of good. early contender for gayest lyrics of the year "Several years ago In a foreign town Far away from home I met the count of Tuscany A young eccentric man Bred from royal blood Took me for a ride" and it gets better ""Let me introduce My brother" A bitter gentleman Historian Sucking on his pipe Distinguished accent Making me uptight No accident" in fairness, before the singing started this sounded like a half decent LTE song. from the acoustic guitar to the end of the album it's not bad, but I probably won't listen to this album ever again. Nadam se da će otići na neki hiatus i vratiti se posle 5,6 godina sa albumom vrednim slušanja i poštovanja. In the meantime, nek rade side projekte. LTE, anyone?
