Vala baš, nadam se da će prvi svirati da mogu da se zagrejem pivom za napalm.

Taman da bude obrnuta situacija, pa da pukne bruka.

NAPALM DEATH – Release special Roadburn festival EP and charity Cardiacs cover-download!

After a successful run of dates all across Europe including shows with Hatebreed and The Exploited, Grindcore legends NAPALM DEATH are proud to announce 2 very special projects that have been in the works recently.

First of all and as of today, NAPALM DEATH are launching a special cover song of the track “”To Go Off And Things” by the Cardiacs via their bandcamp site as charity download.

NAPALM DEATH’s bass-player Shane Embury checked in to comment as follows: "Since I was blessed with being introduced to CARDIACS way back in 1986 they have been one of my favorite bands of all time! Getting to meet and become friends with Tim Smith, the musical genius behind it all, over the years was an added bonus. Tim always struck me as a person with a massive heart, who had a very pure and innocent view of the world in which we live in - something i totally related to, as the world can be a dark place - he radiated happiness. We shared many fun and elaborate conversations after CARDIACS shows in the early 90's and I loved every minute of every conversation with him. I could go on and on for hours about how amazing his music is and the immense influence it has had on my life but suffice to say this cover of "To Go Off And Things" that we have recorded is in tribute to the brilliance that is Tim Smith - it is the least we can do for a man who has given us so much.

Tim has unfortunately been severely unwell for a few years now and we hope with this recording made available to everyone for download on our bandcamp site for only 1 (you can pay more if your heart so desires!) we can help raise some money to go towards Tim's rehabilitation! We hope you like our version of the song and find it in your heart to donate something towards such a worthy cause...Thanks for taking the time to read this.”

Metal Hammer UK’s Dom Lawson penned the following writing to enhance the launch:

Cardiacs. The greatest band that ever walked the Earth. The greatest sound that ever entered my ears. The greatest. Ever. Now and forever.

For those who know about Cardiacs, nothing further needs to be said. For those who don’t? Well, what a glorious world of life-affirming and miraculous music awaits you. Even though chief Cardiac and undisputed Lord Of All Genius And Musical Splendour – the inimitable Tim Smith – has been severely unwell for a number of years, the music he wrote and performed with Cardiacs remains as vital and vibrant as ever. It’s all brilliant. Every last note. It will make you smile, laugh, dance, cry, explode with joy and wonder and magic and glory. And greatness. Always greatness. Great.

NAPALM DEATH are another one of the greatest bands ever to walk the Earth, but even they know that Cardiacs are the greatest of them all. Hence this cranium-decimating cover of one of Tim Smith’s spikiest and snottiest creations, To Go Off And Things, recorded in tribute to the man (and the band) but also as a humble gesture to raise funds for Tim’s ongoing rehabilitation. Not just because the world would be an immeasurably better place if he was able to make some MORE amazing music – but also because Tim has earned our love and respect. Worthy of laudation. The greatest. Ever.

Listen to NAPALM DEATH’s version of ‘To Go Off And Things’. Then go and listen to every Cardiacs song ever recorded. And then go and listen to every NAPALM DEATH song ever recorded. Go off and things. Listen. To the greatest band that ever walked the Earth. Ever.

Now and forever. Cardiacs. Always. The greatest.

In other news, NAPALM DEATH are pleased to announce the release of a limited and exclusive vinyl 12” EP entitled “Our Pain Is Their Power” to commemorate their very special Roadburn Festival appearance on April 10th. Here is the press release from Roadburn Festival about it:

The Roadburn only vinyl releases have become a tradition over the last few years. Proceedings started in 2012 with the Voivod – Live At Roadburn 2011 LP and the Ulver Roadburn EP, followed last year by Dread Sovereign’s 'Pray To The Devil In Man' EP and the Godflesh live Streetcleaner set. This year is no exception, and we once more present a special release for you: In conjunction with the special live set concentrating on the slower, painful, dirgy elements of NAPALM DEATH at this year’s festival, we will release NAPALM DEATH’s “Our Pain Is Their Power” EP to commemorate their appearance at Roadburn 2014 on Thursday, April 10th.

NAPALM DEATH’s “Our Pain Is Their Power” EP collects those slower tracks that drip with sonic anguish from the last few albums onto one EP in a one-time run of 500 copies, to be sold at the Roadburn Festival 2014.

The tracklist is as follows:

Side A:

1. Persona Non Grata

2. Smear Campaign

3. Atheist Runt

Side B:

1. Morale

2. Our Pain Is Their Powe

3. Weltschmerz (Extended Apocalyptic Power)

More details can be found here: http://www.roadburn.com

NAPALM DEATH vocalist Mark 'Barney' Greenway checked in as follows about the release: "I think it's fair to say that live and on album NAPALM DEATH has always had more of an emphasis on a bare bones approach - just hit the 'go button' and it should all just about stay on the rails. However, there are other layers to the band and recently we've been in situations with more potential to pluck those from our repertoire. So, this EP gives you a significant flavour of that - as will the live performance. Although the music isn't entirely identical, I feel the moroseness and sheer desperate bludgeon of early Swans is a big factor for us in creating this different type of mood. Hopefully we can emulate that kind of power."

Може само да се сагне овом горе Индонежанину. Овај "наш" је толко љигав да је сама његова слика опоганила целу напалм страницу.

British Grindcore legends Napalm Death are all set to release their 15th studio album entitled "Apex Predator - Easy Meat" on January 26th in Europe and January 27th in North America!

Check out what Barney has to say about the album title and concept:

"Sometimes you have to ponder long and hard for an album title, but following the Rana Plaza disaster of last year (collapse of a textile sweatshop building in Bangladesh), it spurred me on to try and craft an expose slave labour in the modern world (and the surrounding conditions propping it up).

Some in power like to declare that slavery is consigned to the history books. But if you look beneath the surface it is alive and well in many different forms - it just has a different face now, and exists in ways that may seem ethically ambiguous. Using the terminology of evolution particularly interests us, so in this case the 'Apex Predator' represents those who bring the slavery to bear (and capitalise from it), and the 'Easy Meat' is of therefore those who feel they have no option but to comply.

Fittingly, the music on 'Apex Predator - Easy Meat' is punishing. We feel it's more ambient, more expansive, more unsettlingly discordant than ever, and importantly, still extremely rampant at excessive speed. We hope in every respect - both musically and lyrically - this album will make your eyes burn with the harsh sonics and harsh visions of the dumping ground of globalisation."

Due to illness within his family, we would like to announce that Mitch Harris will unfortunately not be performing with us for the near future. We stress that this is not a permanent arrangement, although we are unsure exactly when Mitch will return under the circumstances.

Naturally, we sympathise and wish Mitch all the best for now. In the

meantime we will be joined by guitarists who we know can grind it out in his absence.

Thanks for your understanding
