Progressive Rock - opšta diskusija

Ne znam baš, meni nekako TT daje utisak veće kompleksnosti i "dubine", nego što je to slučaj sa TFK. Ali u svakom slučaju, oba benda šije BF

Jeste, ali poenta kod TFK je ta neka atmosfera, magicnost, pozitivizam, jako dobra energija koja izbija iz svake sekunde njihove muzike. Mozda su manje prog od ovih drugih, ali imaju to nesto drugo sto mi se svidja.. njih ili volis ili bas, bas ne volis, koliko vidim po ljudima.

Hasse je jako kul lik i obozavam njegov glas, retko dobar u prog rock-u.

E nisam, ali secam se na spejsu kako sam pratio njegove blogove i statuse, stvarno je dobar lik, i znam za taj projekat ali nisam jos cuo.

Inace, da spomenem jos jedan od mojih omiljenih bendova, Viima, snima novi album.

Kahden Kuun Sirpit mi je odlican, jedva cekam da cujem nesto novo od njih.

 

Jedan od onih bendova sto nisu nista posebno, ali nesto u njihovoj muzici obozavas.

Što više slušam Mammoth, sve je bolji i bolji

Ajde bre, je l' slušao neko Mammoth, dajte komentare, šta ste stipse? Sviđaju mi se ove drone sline koje se provlače kroz album.

Preslusao par puta, odlican album, ima dosta zanimljivih momenata, sve u svemu preporuka za sve progere.

U jednom trenutku sam pomislio da slusam neki melodic death.

U drugom, pljunuti Spock's Beard na klavijaturama.

Ipak, meni nije u klasi sa Spock's Beard, Transatlantic, Neal Morse, TFT.. Mozda jer ih ne slusam dugo kao ove druge.. ali tu su odma' iza njih.

Nemoj stalno da svaki bend uporedjujes s Transatlantic i Neal Morse Inace, mrzim usporedbe, jer muzika i uopste umjetnost nisu sport.

Ne poredim ni ja na taj nacin, vec kazem generalno kako su mi ovi bendovi drazi i bolji u progu.

Ajd' plus što je Beardfish izgradio svoj sopstveni fazon, pa realno i nije baš zahvalno porediti ih, iako su muzički (po mom mišljenju) najbliži Tangent svirci. S druge strane, Beardfish svirka nije baš ni toliko "ograničena" prog okvirima. Primera radi, ovaj novi album je dosta šarenolik muzički, droning, hard, psyche, prog, fusion. Dok recimo kod Transatlantica nemaš baš prilike da čuješ toliko širok spektar uticaja, jerbo su ovi (uglavnom) "ograničeni" na serviranje "tipičnog" (sympho) prog rocka koji ne pomera granice, jedino što su oni dobri u svemu tome, plus uzbuna koja nastane pri pomenu imena Roine Stolt, Neal Morse, Portnoy, Trewavas + Gildenlow. A pri pomenu Rikard Sjoblom se ne dešava ništa Ali zato lik idzuva sa svim projektima, počevši od BF, preko Bootcut, Gungfly i ono solo Cyklonmanen albuma. Ugh.

Ja tek treba da nabavim sve te projekte.

 

Da se razumemo, Beardfish mi je sve drazi i bas su mi kul, posebno jer dolaze iz Svedske, tamo neki levi gradic, pa mi je simpaticno i sa te strane.

Definitivno cu nastaviti da slusam Mammoth, odlican je to album, za danasnja vremena vrhunski je to prog rock.

Jedino mi krivo što ne gledah BF u oktobru u Budimpešti, al' nema šta da se žalim, novembar bio još bolji A verujem da će posle ovog albuma opet svirati u Pešti ili nešto, tako da imaće se šansi još za videti ih

 

Za Egg: The Polite Force je jedan od top 10 albuma Canterburesque prog rocka. Period.

Hi guys!

 

The end of March is approaching fast and so is the release of our new album! We're very excited, indeed. We haven't even seen the finished album(s, if you count the vinyl, and you damn well better!!) yet so we're probably as excited as anyone. Holding the finished album in your hand is always the evidence that you've in fact done something with your life, haha!

 

On another note, as you may know we're celebrating ten years with Beardfish this year (Oh, our baby's grown up so fast!) and we want to celebrate this in a couple of ways. One thing we're trying to do right now is to arrange a tour in the late summer/fall, probably around Europe. We'd love to get something arranged for the States as well, but it's never as easy as it sounds. Another thing I've been working on is ANOTHER RELEASE!! Yes, a collection of unreleased songs, outtakes and demos. There are a whole lot of stuff that never made it onto an album and most of it is pretty early stuff at that! We had a recording session in 2002 prior to Robert joining the band, with Stefan Aronsson just recording and playing some flute (and mixing the thing of course) and another guy named Gabriel Olsson playing bass. We recorded some songs and basically none of these made it onto "Från en Plats..." for various reasons, but mainly because we'd written new material and didn't want to re-record older stuff (a common problem with our very productive quartet!). I've selected the most interesting songs from there and re-mastered them and I must say that I think it sounds really cool. We were a different band back then with different ideas, but their kind of interesting ideas nonetheless smile Also, there is a session that took place in our rehearsal room in either late 2003 or very, VERY early 2004, I'm not sure. These are more or less of a demo quality but I've tried to enhance the sound quality as much as I possibly can and there are some cool songs among those recordings that never reached "The Sane Day". Also there are a couple of cool versions of songs that don't sound like they do in their final version, including "The Pyramid" and "Now" for instance. We've also agreed that we would include our little (!) X-mas special in this collection. It will probably become a jam packed CD that we will print ourselves and basically sell really cheap over the web (in our non-existing webshop that we hope to get running soon!) and at our shows!
