@SÓLSTAFIR have now entered the studio for the recording of their seventh full length, which will be released later this year via Season of Mist. The recordings take place at the mighty sundlaugin studio (Iceland), where 'Svartir Sandar', 'Ótta' and 'Berdreyminn' were also recorded by producer Birgir Jón Birgisson (Sigur Rós, Alcest, Damien Rice).

Vocalist Aðalbjörn Tryggvason comments on the recording: "This time around we wrote most of the songs on guitars instead of pianos and organs as we have done a lot in the past. Therefore some songs are pretty heavy, even some are fast, faster than we have been for years"

Standardan Solstafir ovaj novi, možda malko ekspanzivniji u odnosu na prethodnih nekoliko, mada mene njihova muzika danas mnogo manje radi nego prvi put kad sam ih čuo. Svartir sandar i Otta mi ostaju omiljeni albumi. Ulfur mi najbolja sa novog albuma.

Meni razočarenje, naročito posle sjajnog prethodnika. Zvuči kao da je neko rekao, e momci sad je vreme da se piše novi album.

Jbg dobar niz su imali, bilo je pitanje vremena kad će da dođe do pada.

Uvek imaju kvalitetno urađene spotove, to im se mora priznati

 

 

Evo ga i spot koji je naravno vrhunski. Pesma je odlična, imaju moju pažnju ponovo

 

Novi spot za novi singl.

 

Nije album na nivou njihovog zlatnog perioda ali jeste korak u dobrom smeru u odnosu na dosadnog prethodnika, lepo su prošarali s ovim upadima brzine. 

Tako je, slažem se. Nije za neku top 2024 listu ali znatno bolji album od prethodnika, a meni možda bolji i od Berdreyminn. Ova blekerska naslovna meni najbolja, mada i ovaj album pati od neke midtempo tugaljive dosadice ali povratak na pravi put, rekao bih.
