Stavi The Rum Diary, deluje prilicno interesantno.

Strange moans and painful cries of unrecognizable origin generally aren’t that much fun, but when sparingly placed against the Rum Diary’s lofty harmonies, beautiful piano and haunting guitars (“Metronome”), they’re actually quite pleasant. Although it’s the lush vocals and tasteful production that give We’re Afraid of Heights Tonight wings, it’s the spacious, inspired, instrumental explorations that make for such a satisfying journey. On this, the band’s third LP, they’ve made an album in the truest sense: something that’s meant to be listened to as a complete whole. With highlights such as the dynamic “Back in the Hardcore Days,” the 10-minute “The Sunken Fields (TL-05)” and the pensive-rocker “My Lungs Have Never Felt Better,” the band continues to draw from the sprawling, dreamy, post-rock worlds of Mogwai, Sigur Rós, Yo La Tengo and the Album Leaf but proves here that the Rum Diary are certainly good enough to be mentioned in the same breath.

Alasdaira ce verovatno biti svuda.

novi songs of green pheasant, joss slowdive malaksaliji i etericniji, remembering and forgetting odmak na jednu od naj tema 2006.

Songs Of Green Pheasant is the work of Duncan Sumpner, a 30-year-old artist / teacher from Oughtibridge in Sheffield. His self-titled debut album was released on FatCat in August 2005, and drew widespread praise, gaining admiration from Devendra Banhart, Múm, and Vetiver, and making many people’s lists as an outsider ‘album of the year’.”

What Duncan Sumpner does so well is to combine the quieter sounds from the 1970’s and updates it with more modern sounds influenced by Galaxie 500, Nobody & Mystic Chords of Memory, and the Kings of Convenience. This all works wonderfully, because the dynamics of Aerial Sounds never ventures far from a certain range, yet there’s a kaleidoscope of emotions that comes out from those sounds.

minimalno folky solilokvij potaknuca i richardovi najraznezzeniji trenuci

There's a lot of emotion in his voice, especially on Sapphie as he croons over the loss of his dog.

Sapphie's melodies are distinct, but over the course of the CD they blend together, and it seems like one extremely long song. The intimacy is almost chilling, but the music is soft; it can work as easy or focused listening. His voice strains on "A Fullness of Light In Your Soul," barely reaching the notes, but it adds to the sense of closeness of this album. Fans of Robert Wyatt or even Will Oldham would probably like Youngs' expressive voice. The highlight of the album is definitely "The Graze of Days," which slowly builds over a quiet acoustic guitar pattern while burning its melody into your brain.
