Kent Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 @ Haralampije Skini The Longcut - A Call and Response ako nisi, najbolji Joy Divisionovski album ove godine. A to za Sam's Town... Iskreno, album nista losiji nije od prvenca... Koji opet nije nesto narocito dobar. Quote

KRANG Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 skinuo sam i ova 2 Cord - Other People's Lives Are Not As Perfect As They Seem This Day & Age - The Bell And The Hammer Quote
marcoman Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Sad skidam ovo: Khlyst – Chaos is My Name Hydra Head Records – HYH-114 – October 24, 2006 ako neko bude hteo okacicu posle Khlyst is a project featuring James Plotkin (Phantomsmasher, Khanate, O.L.D., etc.) and Runhild Gammelsaeter (Sunn 0))), Thorr’s Hammer). The best I can describe this is a combination of the freaky, haunting atmospheres of Khanate combined with some free-form jazz/metal hybrid bass-heavy instrumentation combined with Golem, from The Lord Of The Rings movies, on vocals. While the music doesn’t seek to strictly frighten the listener (like Khanate), it still has its fair share of scary moments. The vocals are quite freaky, but for the most part the instrumentation (mostly just Plotkin on bass) backing the vocals is totally whacked! I don’t know if you’ve ever heard a great jazz guitarist back a great solo jazz singer, but this is the nightmare version of that. Noise, feedback, some drums, and that crazy-ass bass guitar are all mixed in the pot with those sick vocals. If Khanate is a beast slowly creeping up on you to rip your head off and lick your innards clean, Khlyst is a beast that the pack left behind because they thought it was retarded, only to find out that one day the retarded beast will fulfill its sick fantasy of devouring all its next of kin. Extreme art for music lovers; extreme music for art lovers. 8/10 Quote
Haralampije Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 manatees - untitled [2006] Those who felt Boris and Sunn0)))'s 'Altar' lacked a little in the direction department - a collaboration caught between the two band's contrasting aesthetics rather that a groundbreaking, and shaking, conjoining of tones as intended - may, neigh will, find cause to slip back into those doom metal robes courtesy of Carlisle trio Manatees. Since rising from the ashes of oft-overlooked Borders collective Second To Last, the untitled debut from Greg Wynne, Alex Macarte and Paul Heron is a 45 minute discordant sludge rock opus split into five tracks, but clearly designed to be listened to in its entirety, LOUD. Recorded for a second time after scrapping the original cuts, the album charters an epic course through prog, metal and drone, emanating purpose and structure. Yet there's still room for a hefty fiddle of sonic experimentation that puts the aforementioned Southern Lord lot to shame. Taking their cue from Swans, King Crimson and Neurosis, Manatees are similar masters at delivering crushing highs and devastating lows. Percussion is the main focus of the album, and indeed its tribal drumming that opens proceedings, aided by subtle touches of reverb-soaked slide guitar and stacked harmonies played over bowed basslines. 120 seconds in and the hushed vocals turn into screamed 3 Stages of Pain-esque growls, pummelling the words "we are all forgotten" from all corners and transforming the contemplative opening into an angry and regretful steam release. The heavy riffage continues over the half way point before the sound shifts and floats to pastures new, with ebow replacing the slide, and trill feedback creating an elemental alarm to which the remainder of the orchestration responds. Texturally captivating from beginning to end, Manatees are navigators of an intense, rapturous juggernaut, and, like their namesake, their eponymous debut is a triumph of size and scope, grace and placidity - an exhalation of robust beauty from an aberrant creature. 4.5 / 5 http://www.myspace.com/manateetheband jbg nemam link Quote
marcoman Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 HahA, kad bi znali kako se samo otvara onaj album, hahaha, odsekao sam se kad sam pustio ako neko nadje i taj manatees neka ostavi link Quote
