“The cover depicts the last battle between the Gods and Loki who arrives at Vigridr field accompanied by the army of the dead during Ragnarok, the end of the world. We hope you enjoy it.”

Swedish death metallers AMON AMARTH will release their ninth studio album, "Deceiver Of The Gods", on June 25 (one day earlier internationally) via Metal Blade Records. The CD was recorded at Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, U.K., produced, mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap (MEGADETH, EXODUS, ARCH ENEMY, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE). The cover art was, once again, created by Tom Thiel and depicts a mythical battle between the Norse gods Loki and Thor. Fans will also recognize a special appearance on this album with Messiah Marcolin (CANDLEMASS) providing guest vocals for eighth song, "Hel".

Comments AMON AMARTH vocalist Johan Hegg: "We feel very excited about this new album, and personally I feel that 'Deceiver Of The Gods' is the strongest album we've ever done. By far! I'm confident that all our fans will enjoy this 'punch-in-the-face-of-a-record!"
